Shows a scientist as seen through the eye of a colossal squid (Mesonychoteuthis hamiltoni). The scientist is seen leaning over the edge of a tank with a stick which he is about to poke into the eye of the squid to prove to his audience that the squid is indeed dead. Refers to the defrost the 10-metre (34 feet) long, half-tonne squid at Te Papa in May 2008.
