The start of a 30,000 acre fire, lit to clear the land of bush. Taken by Frederick Ashby Hargreaves at Pukatora Station (or Puketoro Station ?), East Coast, in the early 1900s. Source of descriptive information - Note on back of file print states that a place called Puketoro station is 20 km NW of Tokomaru Bay. Nearest point on map is Ihungia. Quantity: 1 b&w original negative(s).
