Twenty-two comic versions of paintings some Maori, some Pakeha. The central image is a parody of a Goldie portrait: "A noble relic of a vanished feast' [i. e. race] showing a profile view of a tattooed Maori man, clutching a human leg-bone, with an evil expression on his face.
