Description

Maori war canoe with elaborately carved prow and stern, three standing figures, one seated and eighteen rowers. Above the canoe at left is a copy of a seal relating to King Charles and the Royalists at Newark in 1645. Above the canoe at right is a study of two breadfruits on a branchlet with leaves.
