Diary of Dominion Museum ethnological expedition to the East Coast in 1923. In the expedition party were Best, Buck, Ngata and others. Describes a visit (Mar-Apr 1923) to East Coast Maori pā (East Cape to Waipiro Bay) and Waiomatatini collecting recordings of Māori songs from Ngāti Porou.
