- Description
Peter Barron's dress is a sophisticated take on the mini – a youth-inspired fashion that emerged from ‘Swinging London’, during what American Vogue described as the 'Youthquake'. In fashion, the rise of youth culture in the 60s marked the shift from couture-inspired clothes, to street-style, with British designer Mary Quant at the forefront. The dress belonged to Josephine Fownes.
