A Maori adze, with a carved handle, seen from the back and side; a carved saw with shark's teeth and a handle; a large conch shell as a trumpet with mouthpiece. All pieces have plaited cords attached. On the right, two carved waka huia, one with its lid open. Derived from engravings of objects taken back to England from Cook's 2nd and first voyages.
