Description

The index sheet to the Indian Atlas, published in various editions from 1827. This index sheet has sections coloured red that were published, (at least by 1827) It appears that 177 sheets were intended. The library has sheets 42, 44, 48, 62, 66, 74, 77, 79, 80, 94, 102, and 125 and all are catalogued separately. Sheets were produced from the Great Trigonometrical Survey of India, begun in 1802 and completed in 1866
