Looking north on Motuopao Island towards the Cape Maria Van Diemen lighthouse, with the Principal Keeper's house, the First Assistant's house, the Second Assistant's house, the kerosine store (left to right). The poles for the telegraph line, installed in 1895, are visible near the Principal Keeper's house.
