Full length portrait of Corporal Gallagher of the 22nd Reinforcements. An Auckland Rugby Union catalogue from 1918 identifies him as Dave Gallaher, captain of the famous All Blacks. Died of wounds in France on 4 October 1917, at the battle of Passchendaele
