Description

Looking east from Constitution Hill over Mechanics Bay, showing the Swan Hotel on the corner of the Strand which runs along the foreshore, and the Parnell Hill (later named Alpha Road, Gittos Street and now Parnell Rise), with Stanley Street (right), Livery Stables (right on Stanley Street) and St Marys Church (right background), Stephen Gillingham's Brickworks (elongated shed in centre middle distance). The dark two storeyed building on the top of the hill is the Windsor Castle Inn.
