Description

Annual naval contest decided in Wellington: Leading Seaman R. Berry receiving the Denton Cup on behalf of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (Wellington) at the presentation ceremony last week in Wellington. The trophy is for boat sailing and pulling competition between Reserve members, sea scouts and representatives of Royal Navy warships. This year's contest resulted in a draw between Reservists and Royal Navy, each side to hold the cup for six months.
