Description

This singlet is from the 1974 British Commonwealth Games held in Christchurch. It was worn by runners participating in the 'Queen's Message Relay'. A written message from the Queen was contained within a greenstone, silver and gold baton which over two weeks was passed by runners from Sandringham, United Kingdom, to Christchurch, New Zealand.
