Reports how the question of whether parts of a river are 'navigable' for the purposes of vesting the river bed in the Crown should be assessed in respect of those particular stretches, rather than a 'whole of river' assessment, was held by the Supreme Court, overturning a Court of Appeal decision, in Paki & Ors v Attorney-General of New Zealand [2012] NZSC 50 (27 June 2012).
