Photograph taken at the Upper Hutt School Centenary in 1964. The woman in the centre is Mrs Mary Anne McCurdy, widow of Angus McCurdy, Upper Hutt's first mayor and a well known local identity. The women on either side are her daughters: Miss Flora McCurdy is on the right and Mrs Elsie Thomas on the left; a third daughter, Jessie McCurdy, is not in the photo.
