May 1947. Aerial photograph of Heretaunga (bottom left), Silverstream (centre), Pinehaven (top left) and Stokes Valley (top right) in the distance. St Patrick's College is on the right, with playing fields. Silverstream Primary School is in mid-picture, at the corner of Whiteman's Road and Gard Street. The previous description mentions a 'kiln factory'; there was a brick works at the end of Kiln Street, middle right; the chimney is just visible. The Home of Compassion is at bottom
