'October 1981 Statue Fergusson Drive' (Description from rear of photo). Llew Summers' 1979 work 'Maternity' commissioned to mark the Year of the Child, displayed in front of the Upper Hutt railway station. Llew, born 1947, is a prominent Christchurch sculptor. The sculpture was bought for the city's first major festival, August 24 to September 15, 1979; the July 17 'leader' printed a picture, and described festival plans.
