This pictire was cropped from P1-2766-5156 and captioned 'Farm day Mangaroa School orphan' in the 1998 and 2000 photographic exhibitions’ visitors’ book; actually Silverstream School. Printed in the 'Leader' of 24/11/65; headed 'Mary had a little lamb'. Primer 4 traditionally adopted a pet lamb each year, and it would be boarded out to around 30 houses in turn.
