Gethings Motors. Gethings' first car franchise was from Dominion Motors in 1963; Morris and Pontiac cars. By 1982, New Zealand Motor Corporation supplied British Leyland's Morrises and Rovers, and the Hondas, which dominated. In the mid-1970s they had taken on Hondas, when they first arrived in New Zealand, but in 1989 Hondas only offered two models, and supplies of these were limited; Mitsubishi offered around 20 different cars and 20 commercial vehicles.
