In May 1991 the Leader reported that Beechdale, the Blue Mountains Road home of the late Dr and Dame Cecily Pickerill, had been passed in at auction. Over 80 people attended the auction where the highest bid reached was $426,000. (Its 1989 Government valuation was $300,000.). Printed in greyscale in the ‘Leader’ on May 21, 1991.
