Caption: (From the 'Upper Hutt Leader' of Monday 15 March 1993).. There were a few tense moments for onlookers as this 1935 two-compartment carriage was slowly lowered onto its wheels at Silver Stream Railway last Monday. The steel-panelled 39-seat second class car, believed to be the only one left in the country, was donated to Silver Stream Railway by Trentham Army Camp where it had been stored under cover for several years.
