Description

Caption: Cranes from Dinan Crane Hire and Collins Cranes lift the roof of Radiata Pine (NZ) Ltd onto its pillars in Montgomery Crescent. The roof of the new dry store for timber dried in the kiln was formerly the old canopy from the BP service station at the end of Taranaki Street in Wellington. The company made laminated beams and panels and other value-added products, for export to Japan. Their timber came from a kiln sited next door. Printed in the ‘Leader’ on January 25, 1994.
