Caption: New Zealand will be represented by two local fullbore rifle shooters at the 1990 Commonwealth Games. John Whiteman (right) and Ken Meade, ranked one and two in New Zealand respectively, say they had known of their selection for a while but it is good to know officially. Ken had won the Rifle Association's annual national championship in January; that success and others were listed in the February 21 'Leader'.
