Around 35 years of selling toys on Upper Hutt's Martin's Toyworld site came to an end in mid-1990 with the closing of the Main Street store. Max Clegg, owner of the firm since 1984, closed his doors after the lease expired. This photo appeared in the Leader on 5 June 1990. In a March 4, 1980 advertisement, Martin's was one of a chain of '32 super stores'.
