Description

Upper Hutt Animal Rescue president Graham Stokes is shown with the new Ford Econovan purchased by the organisation in mid-1991. It replaced a 1978 van and was to be used to collect and transport homeless animals to the vet and to temporary homes. Mr Stokes said the van was funded by donations and membership fees and was purchased from Maidstone Ford at a favourable price as it had been a demonstration vehicle.
