Caption: Layton Edwards (left) and Ross McMurray, taxi proprietors from Upper Hutt Taxis, with two of their vehicles, a total mobility van (one of four) and one of their Falcons. The company was announcing a new telephone number, shared with Wainuiomata Taxis and Petone and Lower Hutt Taxis; there was a possibility of new competitors in the taxi business. Seven-digit telephone numbers had just been introduced in the Wellington area. Printed in greyscale in the ‘Leader’ on 22nd October 1991.
