Upper Hutt woman Janette Christie was one of eight delegates who were chosen to represent New Zealand at the Barcelona International Youth Camp in 1992. The youth camp, which was running parallel to the Olympic Games from July 23 to August 10, offered 550 young people from all over the world the chance to spend 19 days taking part in activities, many of them shared with young people from Barcelona and members of Catalan youth organisations.
