The opening of Kristin's Flower Shoppe was a "dream come true" for florist Kristin Blackwood. Located at 14 Princes Street, Kristin's Flower Shoppe opened its doors in mid-1992. The business was owned by Kristin, who had been operating as a florist from her home for the previous year. Kristin (pictured) was trained as a florist at Pilchers Floral Service in Lower Hutt under Maureen Watts; she worked there for four years.
