Minister of Forestry John Falloon with Craig Davis (right), a director of J V Timber Ltd, at the opening of the firm's new timber Drytech drying kiln in Montgomery Crescent in February 1994. The coal-fired kiln dried wood destined for the Radiata Pine (NZ) Ltd factory next door which created 20 new jobs in the previous year and expected to create a similar number in 1994 making laminated beams and panels for export to Japan.
