Caption: Upper Hutt karate instructor Stella Lenihan has had some expert tuition recently to help her prepare for the World Karate Champs in Malaysia in December. Local fundraising by the Kei Shin Kan Karate Association enabled it to bring to New Zealand Mollie Samuel, a top English karate champion. Stella says never before has anyone of her calibre come to New Zealand to coach. Printed in greyscale in the ‘Leader’ on September 5, 1994; Stella also printed in colour on page 1.
