There were words of praise for Upper Hutt's Commonwealth Games gold medallist Lindsay Arthur (right) from Mayor Rex Kirton after the 37-year-old Heretaunga carpenter won a gold medal in the 50m smallbore prone rifle shooting pairs with Aucklander Stephen Petterson in August 1994.
