Al Moore was hoping he had a lot more luck than during his first taste of motorsport, when he took part in the Dunlop Targa NZ rally in October 1999. Moore's only prior experience was in last year's Targa event, in which he was navigator in Laurence Jones' XJS V12 Jaguar.
