Description

Visits Mike Camm and his wife Jane at Ngunguru in Northland who have developed a wetland which is home to the endemic brown teal, 'Anas chlorotis', or pateke. Describes the habitat and behaviours of the bird (including why they are so susceptible to predators) and the efforts to increase the population and move it away from being on the endangered list.
