Explores the relationship between tertiary level introductory computing students, self-efficacy, and gender. Reports the findings of two surveys of students in an introductory computing class, one in 1999 and one in 2012, in which they were asked to rate their confidence using a computer and to give their perception of their computing knowledge. Identifies any differences that may occur between genders. Compares the results from the 1999 survey with those from the survey completed in 2012 ...
