- Description
Considers ethical issues surrounding the use of non-invasive prenatal diagnosis (NIPD) and the possible threats it may pose to the Down syndrome (DS) community. Argues that NIPD is simply an extension of current screening methods, raising similar ethical concerns, and that presently the programme shows little evidence of 'eugenics', demonstrated by moderate uptake rates and varying attitudes towards disability.
