Women’s rights activists in New Zealand and overseas were in frequent contact, offering each other support and advice. When New Zealand women won the vote, there was great rejoicing amongst suffrage campaigners elsewhere. This group of New Zealanders are taking part in a British women’s suffrage campaign march in London in 1910. Lady Anna Stout, a prominent New Zealand activist, is at left of centre in front of the banner.
