Description

One way the principles and meanings of the Treaty of Waitangi have been enacted is through the creation of bicultural institutions. Since 2010 any words spoken in te reo Māori (the Māori language) in the debating chamber of the House of Representatives have been translated into English. This is translator Wiremu Haunui at work in 2011.
