Description

The polished stone works of New Zealand jeweller John Edgar reflect his deep interest in the contemporary use of natural materials. Working in pounamu (greenstone), greywacke, and argillite, he moved beyond the concept of adornment, seeking instead to 'relate intensely to people through the mind and the heart'. Edgar's works appear in the exhibition Bone Stone Shell: 25 years on at Ngā Toi Arts Te Papa to March 2014. Te Papa website - https://www.tepapa.govt.nz Te Papa collections - http://co...
