Description

This photograph depicts Lorraine Downes, 'Miss New Zealand', listening to music on a walkman, during the lead up to the Miss Universe pageant held in Saint Louis, Missouri. Contestants arrived in St Louis three weeks before the actually pageant to attend a wide range of functions around the city, including charity events, and to attend an intensive series of rehearsals for the show.
