Description

Shows a lone gravestone with a small gated surround, high atop a hill above Nelson, with the Boulder Bank in view below. The gravestone is inscribed 'Sacred to the memory of Henry A Bell, aged 19'. Arrow (Fifeshire) Rock is set just out of view of the painting, to the lower left. Various ships and boats can be seen in the Nelson Haven area of Tasman Bay, between the Boulder Bank and the coast.
