Annotated on sleeve: "Wellington. 120,000 population. Is located at the S.E. and South of Port Nicholson, mostly on hills with practically no flat country except that which is reclaimed. Away to the top of the harbour is where the city was first started in 1840 but a flood drove the emigrants away so they settled where the city now is. The large dark vessel is a whaler ready to go to the Antarctic
