Description

A view across V Beach, Cape Helles, towards Sedd-el-Bahr Castle. In the distance beyond is the Asiatic shore of the Dardanelles and the Plain of Troy. At right along the beach are temporary jetties for off-loading troops and supplies. There are piles of stores up from the beach and tent areas on the plain. Left of the castle is the village. By the seashore, lower right, is a pusher biplane, probably a Maurice Farman MF-11 Shorthorn
