Shows [Japanese] symbol and writing inside a water cistern at Featherston Prisoner of War Camp, assumed to have been done in 1942-1945. The top and nearest concrete is the lower edge of the access hatch. The next concrete panel is part of the cistern's roof. The writing is on a vertical face. The cistern drops for some distance, possibly several metres.
