Shows a fine detailed view of the town of Wanganui, from across the river. Shows settlers' houses, the Christ Church, and the Rutland and York (incorrectly noted as 'Fort') stockades on the hill mounds above the town. The Gun-boat stockade, on the site of Mouta Gardens, seems to have been demolished, although the fencing is still in place.
