Mr Nev McEwan is pictured holding the trophy for the 1975 Manawatu Sportsman of the Year. The trophy was donated by the Queen Elizabeth Rugby Club of which Mr McEwan was an official. He was a former All Black who took up Palmerston North's PRO on 15 January 1973. He was also engaged in a private carrying business in Wellington for twelve months before coming to Palmerston North.
