Mr Neil Seifert holding two bundles of flax at the Paiaka Mill. Neil was the son of Herman Seifert, owner of the Paiaka Mill. He purchased in from T.S. Easton about 1926 and operated it until about 1937. Paiaka Mill was situated on the mouth bank of the Manawatu River, about 10 miles upstream from Foxton. The headquarters of the Moutoa Estate Flax Scheme was on the mill site until 1974
