Description

An English Electric multiple-unit on a backshunt adjacent to the old locomotive depot (engine shed) at Upper Hutt; circa 1970s. It was a very rare occurrence for anything to be stabled on this backshunt which in later years was extended north for use as a private siding, initially for the use of Vibrapac Masonry.
