Description

Wairarapa-class railcar Rm-8 'Mataatua' at Silverstream on a northbound service, probably soon after its entry to service on 10 October 1936. The 49-seat Wairarapa railcars entered regular service from 7 September 1936, running between Wellington, Masterton, Woodville, and Palmerston North.
