Undated black and white photograph of Josiah (Joe) Wilson, a Mataura based carrier on his horse drawn cart. Joe worked at the Mataura Paper Mill until 1919 when he bought out Sharp's carrying business. Wilson's horse drawn delivery and contracting services continued until the mid 1960s. When Joe Wilson retired, the business people of Mataura presented him with an arm chair which he proudly put on his cart and tested out on the ride home.
