This is one of a series of 38 black and white photographs taken by Keith McDonald which record the impact of the October 1978 flood, of the Mataura River, on the Mataura Paper Mill. This photograph was taken on 18 October 1978 and shows solvo pulper operator, Peter Thompson assisting with clean up of the Mill's No 2 Paper Machine.
